ScholaxyDemonstration school

Privacy Policy

Effective 1 October 2026 · Version 1 · Applies only to demo.scholaxy.com

This notice explains how personal data is handled when you visit or use the Scholaxy demonstration school at demo.scholaxy.com.

This is a demonstration environment. Use fictional learning and business content. Do not upload client files, medical records, confidential documents or other people's personal data for testing.

1. Who is responsible

The operator of this demo school, and the controller responsible for the uses described in this notice, is SVESHEDUTECH L.L.C-FZ, at Meydan Grandstand, 6th floor, Meydan Road, Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, operating the demo under the Scholaxy brand. Meydan Free Zone business licence no. 2314401.01; formation no. 2314401. Contact: privacy@scholaxy.com.

This notice covers the demo school and its own accounts. Other schools using Scholaxy set their own purposes for processing learner data and must provide their own privacy notices. The main Scholaxy website and business platform accounts have separate notices.

2. Information we process

  • Account information: your name, email address, account role, profile details you provide and authentication records. Passwords are stored as hashes, not as readable passwords.
  • Learning activity: access to courses, lesson progress, test answers, submissions, feedback and other content you enter while trying the demo.
  • Demo transactions and automation: test orders, enrolments, tags, process events and delivery records used to demonstrate school workflows. Use test data in these features.
  • Communications: messages you send to support and messages sent to you, including delivery status. Email features can also record message opens and link clicks; these indicators may be affected by your mail client's privacy settings.
  • Technical and consent records: IP address, browser and device information, security and activity logs, and the time, source, IP address and recorded version associated with registration consent. An optional marketing opt-in is recorded separately.

3. Why we use it

We use information necessary to create and secure your account, provide the demo, display your progress, run the workflows you try, respond to support requests and administer access. Where the GDPR applies, necessary account and service processing is based on performance of our agreement with you; security, abuse prevention and service reliability rely on legitimate interests, balanced against your rights. We also process records when required by applicable law.

School news and promotional email are optional and rely on your separate opt-in. Refusing or withdrawing this opt-in does not stop you from using the demo. Account access, password recovery and service messages are separate from marketing.

4. Who can access information

Authorised demo administrators and staff can access information needed to administer the environment, investigate faults and support you. Content you post in shared discussions or other shared spaces may be visible to the people with access to those spaces.

Service providers process information needed for hosting, storage and email delivery. The demo infrastructure uses Netcup hosting, Hetzner object storage and Resend email delivery. We do not sell demo account data. We may disclose information where legally required or necessary to protect users and the service.

5. International processing

Demo hosting is in Germany. The operator is established in the United Arab Emirates, from where authorised staff may remotely administer and support the demo. Resend email delivery involves a US-based provider. These countries may have different data protection laws from your country.

Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, those requirements apply in addition to this notice. You can request information about the providers, processing locations and transfer arrangements relevant to your data from privacy@scholaxy.com. Acceptance of the User Agreement does not, by itself, constitute consent to an otherwise unlawful international transfer.

6. How long we keep information

We retain account and activity information while it is needed to provide and administer demo access. The demo is a testing environment and may be reset; it is not an archive or a backup service. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us.

Retention is determined by whether your account is still used for evaluation, whether an associated support request or security investigation remains open, and whether a legal obligation or claim requires a record to be retained. This notice does not promise an automatic account deletion date. Limited records may be retained for those purposes after account closure; they are not used to continue optional marketing following withdrawal.

Copies in disaster-recovery backups are removed as those backups are replaced under the backup lifecycle rather than immediately when a live record is deleted. Contact us for the retention information relevant to your account or a deletion request.

7. Cookies and similar storage

The demo uses essential session and security cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, protect forms and remember interface or privacy choices. The demo's configurable third-party analytics and advertising counters are currently not enabled. This notice will be updated if that changes; non-essential tracking must be offered with an appropriate choice where required.

Built-in website analytics is separate from third-party counters. If you allow it in the cookie banner, it measures visits, time on a page, scroll depth, block views, clicks and form interaction events on public pages. Where session recording is enabled, it can also record page structure and interactions; input values are masked. Choose “Only necessary” to decline optional built-in analytics. Essential account features remain available.

You can control cookies in your browser. Blocking essential cookies can prevent sign-in or other features from working. A cookie banner acknowledgment is not a subscription to marketing email.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, and object to certain processing. You may withdraw consent for optional processing without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. You may also complain to the relevant data protection authority.

Send requests to privacy@scholaxy.com. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity. To stop promotional email, use the unsubscribe link in the message or contact us. Necessary account and service messages may continue while your account is active.

9. Suitable use of this demo

The demonstration is intended for adults evaluating school software. It is not intended for collecting children's data, special-category personal data or real counselling records. If such information is entered by mistake, contact us so it can be reviewed and removed where appropriate.

10. Changes and contact

We will identify the effective date of changes to this notice and provide additional notice of material changes where required. A notice update alone does not authorise unrelated new processing or replace a required consent.
